The idea of organizing a book with the reports of the professional experiences of indigenous teachers, Tami'kKan students, originally came from Professor Stela Damas. On one occasion, the aforementioned educator said that indigenous teachers, students of that training course offered by the Teacher Training Center of the State of Roraima (CEFORR) and whose direction is currently under their care, were preparing very rich academic monographs that would be deserve disclosure for scientific, educational and community involvement, which is why they could serve as an example of initiative and overcoming indigenous peoples in the face of the institutional demands demanded by the State's equipment.
Professor Stela then gathered 16 monographs, in a universe of about 300 produced as a conclusion to that specific and differentiated course, choosing to show the diversity of experiences lived by the respective indigenous authors, all expressed and formally authorized by them. The work was not easy, but the result is fascinating and will certainly touch the reader by the human and regional context it represents.
