Synopsis

The book Roraima: From colonization to the State (Tomo I) is the result of one of the chapters of the author's thesis entitled - Society, politics, culture and environment: subsidies to socio-environmental planning to the Boca da Mata indigenous community in the São Marcos indigenous land - Roraima .

The work is part of the Roraima collection and brings the organization of the socio-spatial, political and environmental context, in which it opens discussions on the environmental dynamics and the occupation and territorial settlement of Roraima, the result of the author's doctoral research.

Author Biography

Lúcio Keury Almeida Galdino, Roraima State University/UERR

Graduated in Full Degree in Philosophy from Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú (2004), Graduated in Teacher Training Course (CFP) in Qualification in Special Regime (HRE) - Full Degree in History and Geography from Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú (2005 ), Master in Geography from the Federal University of Ceará (2007), Doctorate in Geography from the Federal University of Ceará (2017) and Post-Doctorate in Geography with an emphasis on Social Cartography and Local Productive Arrangements from the Federal University of Ceará (2020). Professor Level I Doctor at the State University of Roraima. Founder, Permanent Professor of the PPG in Geography at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR), Permanent Professor of the Specialization in Geography with Emphasis on Teaching at the State University of Roraima (UERR), Coordinator of the Laboratory of Social and Environmental Planning and Social Cartography (LAPLAC) and ( ex) Editor-in-chief of the Electronic Magazine Casa de Makunaima of the State University of Roraima (UERR). He has experience in the area of ​​Geography, with an emphasis on Human Geography, acting mainly on the following themes: Social Cartography, Local Productive Arrangements, Culture, Traditional Territory, Education, Environment, Diagnosis and Social and Environmental Planning.
