Narratives from the Brazilian Amazon: Voice, memory and performance

This book is the result of studies developed during my Master's in Literature at the Federal University of Roraima, and although it presents some changes regarding the text of the dissertation, these did not change the meaning of the original text. This is a research based on observation, whose interest in oral narratives was provoked by the lack of differentiated teaching materials when I taught literature classes in an indigenous context. Recognizing that work specifically directed at indigenous education cannot be achieved without the active participation of the community, I developed a project to provide pedagogical support in the classroom, taking into account the provisions of the References for the Training of Indigenous Teachers (Brazil, 2005), which recommends the use of teaching materials produced in accordance with the sociocultural context.
