Keywords:

The book brings together contributions from indigenous leaders and researchers, professors, managers and/or individuals specialized in the region and in the themes of the scope: the indigenous issue in the Amazon, and who wish to have their work disseminated worldwide by UERR Edições. The work aims to contribute to strengthening the dialogue between studies on the rights of indigenous peoples and productions in the fields of ecology, linguistics, ethnology and “indigenous anthropology”. Organized in two blocks, the first part of this book is composed of studies on indigenous rights, indigenous health, public safety and ecology, which, within the scope of the book, contribute - for those who dedicate themselves to reading the entire work in order - to a theoretical “overview” around important concepts for the definition of the rights of indigenous peoples and the challenges that exist for their actual implementation. The second part of the book moves towards studies of discourse analysis, verbal arts and indigenous ethnology, in which we have indigenous experts and knowledge not only in the position of collaborators and research subjects, but as authors of what today is called indigenous sciences and anthropologies.
